Make electrification easier for local networks and the people connected to them.
More electric heat and transport can support a lower-carbon system, but they also change demand in specific places. We believe buildings can become active participants in managing that transition.
The founding team met through the Energy Resilience and the Built Environment (ERBE) CDT, spanning UCL and Loughborough University. FlexSense turns that shared research context into practical network tools.
Our approach combines strategic forecasting with local coordination, while respecting the operational, comfort and privacy boundaries of participating buildings.
